Our Railway may be small, but great things are happening.

Our restoration efforts have certainly caught the attention of some amazing companies…and today was no exception.

A great team visited Woodhorn today to help, made up of volunteers from SLC, Morgan Sindall and AECOM.

‘Great achievements’….. a whopping 6 panels of track laid including, the several tonnes of ballast all shovelled by hand !! …… these lads worked like trojans.

‘Great craic’, which prevailed to the end of a very hard and hot day!.

We are so grateful for this assistance which is a great boost to our own volunteers who work hard, both on the track and behind the scenes.

Its refreshing when companies share our vision and can see the benefits of such an attraction for this area once it is fully restored. We are so grateful to all the organisations who provide their assistance, skills and advice so generously.
