AECOM come good again

you may find an array of socks along our railway line because these guys worked theirs off today !!
We welcomed another volunteer group from AECOM to help out the project. A different approach required for this team where quality over quantity was the order of the day. Tackling a tricky curve section prone to flooding from the parkland paths.
Because we cannot disconnect the fish plates on the rail, this makes the whole task more difficult being much harder graft digging out and renewing ballast with rails in the way, so each panel is very work intensive. Due to the flooding issue the old sleepers had given up the ghost long ago so the rails were also hugely out of gauge….. Nevertheless, hats off as they managed brilliantly. We had a cracking day, well done to all….
Can we add a thank you to ASDA Blyth for providing the much needed tea and biscuits
